SQUARE GRIDD / STUDIO GUIDE
A useful first phase is a complete journey
How to choose a first release that works on its own.
Begin with a decision
Write down what a visitor, customer or team member must be able to accomplish. A launch enquiry, a product review or a recorded work request is more useful as a starting point than a long feature list.
Connect the whole journey
Include the steps before and after the main action. A form needs a destination and follow-up owner. A render needs the right usage format. A prototype needs a review question.
Choose what can wait
Move secondary audiences, integrations and variants into a later phase when they are not essential to the first journey. Keep dependencies visible so the first phase does not block the next.
Agree how to finish
Define the review criteria, the person approving the work and the handover. A useful milestone ends with a decision, not simply a new set of files.
