SQUARE GRIDD / STUDIO GUIDE
A better brief starts with a better question
A practical guide to preparing for your first project conversation.
Describe the change you want
“We need a website” describes an output. Explain whether you need more relevant enquiries, simpler product updates, a better sales demonstration or less manual work.
Bring the constraints
Share your launch window, available budget, approval process and existing assets. Constraints help us choose a realistic starting point.
- List essential and optional features separately.
- Identify the person who approves content and designs.
- Bring two or three references and explain what you like about them.
Agree the first useful release
A focused first release makes it easier to test the important journey. Keep later phases visible, but do not let them obscure what must work first.
Let’s apply this to your project.
Tell us what you want to create, what already exists and what a useful next step would look like.
